Human Trafficking Conference: Implications for 2010

It is no secret that the demand for the bodies of women and children for sex acts increases dramatically around large sporting events. REED is very concerned about the impact of the 2010 Olympics on vulnerable women and children who will be trafficked for exploitation and is strategizing how to best prevent harm and address the demand. Stay tuned to this site for developments related to sex trafficking and 2010.

On November 3 come out and hear Michelle Miller from REED speak on sex trafficking and the 2010 Olympics at a conference on human trafficking. The conference is Nov. 2-3 at the Polish Community Centre, 4015 Fraser Street (Fraser at 25th), Vancouver. The keynote is Victor Malorek, author of “The Natashas.” Michelle Miller will be speaking on Saturday afternoon, November 3.
